A love letter to our horse
dear horses,
thank you for always having our back and showing up for us when we need it most.
thank you for never judging me for my insecurities and struggles, for not caring what helmet or boots I ride in or how expensive my breeches are.
if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be who I am today.
Yes, you’ve made me cry sad tears, but you’ve also made me cry happy ones. you’ve shown me some of the best days in my life which have helped me forget my worse.
without you, who knows the lessons I wouldn’t have learnt, the emotional and self-awareness I wouldn’t have built and the friends and people I wouldn’t have met.
you make me realise the dreams I can achieve with hard work, patience and perseverance, both in and out of the saddle.
so thank you horses, whether it’s past, present or future. without you, I wouldn’t know what it means to love and be loved unconditionally.
